If, like us, you're severely excited that Deadpool 2 is finally in cinemas, you might be interested to know that a very special and very famous actor makes a cameo in the movie.
And no, we're not talking about Brad Pitt, although yes, he is in the movie. We're talking about someone who, if you've already seen it, you probably didn't even realise was in it, because he's disguised by a whole heap of prosthetic make-up, a wig and - just to make sure he's really hard to spot - a fake belly.
Yes, the guy who explains how to use the loo in the movie - if you haven't seen it, that is actually something that happens - is none other than Matt Damon. Even now, you're probably scratching your head, thinking 'Really?!' But yes, really.
Damon doesn't ever share the screen with Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular character, but he does cross paths with Josh Brolin, who plays Cable. When Cable first appears in the film, he comes across two rednecks - one of which is played by Damon.
Even crazier, though, is that the Talented Mr Ripley actor isn't even credited for the cameo. Instead, the actor listed as playing the redneck toilet explainer - as we're going to call him from now on - is Dickie Greenleaf.
Who the hell is Dickie Greenleaf? Funny you should ask. It's actually the name of Jude Law's character in The Talented Mr Ripley, which is presumably the filmmakers' devious way of confirming that the redneck toilet explainer is indeed played by Matt Damon without actually admitting as such. Very clever, guys. Very clever.
So if you haven't seen the movie yet, keep your eyes peeled for Damon's unlikely appearance. Even if you see him, you still may not believe it's actually him. But trust us. It is.
It's not Damon's first cameo either. The 47-year-old also made an appearance in last year's Thor: Ragnarok.

Perhaps he's just trying to get noticed by the Marvel team and work his way up to a bigger role. Probably not. But it is fun to see how much he still loves acting by taking these ridiculous roles where he's not even recognisable. That's how you know he's a real star.
