Matt LeBlanc Could Quit Top Gear If Chris Evans Isn't Sacked

Matt LeBlanc is threatening to pack it in if his co-host Chris Evans is kept on for another series, the Metro has reported.

The Sun claims there is a 'frosty atmosphere' between two of them, and Matt has become 'frustrated' with Evans' attitudes towards his co-presenters.

Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Top Gear returning for a second series, with viewing figures plummeting to just 2.3 million last week.

To give that a bit of context Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May bowed out with 5.8 million viewers.

With the growing tension between Matt and Chris, BBC bosses could be forced to choose between them, and they are said to have already agreed to pay Matt for a further two runs.

A source told the Metro: "The big question now is who goes and who stays.

The team does not gel at all, and the atmosphere between the presenters is decidedly frosty. It's very much a picture of him - Chris - and them.

"Matt has already indicated that he won't continue on any further series if Chris remains a part of it. And he is far from the only one who isn't happy.

"Chris is not encouraging when any of the others are doing their links.

"On one occasion this month he even pretended to bump his head against a wall in frustration when Eddie Jordan kept fluffing his lines."

Not looking good for Evans, is it?

Here's what people have been saying about the 50-year-old presenter...

At least he still has one supporter - comparing him to Superman! Talk about hyperbole...

Although, thinking about it, she's probably on about the Captain America Chris Evans. It seems like the British Chris Evans just can't catch a break.

Will he get the sack? We don't yet know.

But it's pretty likely less of you will be tuning into Top Gear tonight, than you were when Clarkson and co were presenting it.
