The Grand Tour's executive producer, Andy Wilman, said before the show aired that for legal reasons there would be no 'Christmas' specials.

However, that doesn't mean that their can't be epic episodes to look forward to.

Following in the tradition of Clarkson and co.'s former show, Top Gear, the trio will be gearing up for another 'special show' over festive period.

It comes after an episode hosted in Finland was released on 23rd December.

The guys are off on an epic two-part Namibian adventure, with the first of the specials available to watch on 30 December and part two out on the next day.

A spokesperson for the show said: "In this special show, The Grand Tour abandons its usual travelling tent for a road trip across Namibia as Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to demonstrate the brilliance of that great '60s throwback, the beach buggy.

"The Grand Tour boss, Mr Wilman, has declared that beach buggies are terrible and it's up to the hosts to prove him wrong as they saddle up three examples built to their own specifications and set off on an epic journey across south west Africa.

"They will be taking in sand dunes, rough roads, dirt tracks, animals, accidents, incidents, arguments and some incredible scenery."

Looks great, I can't wait to watch it.
