Aside from dragons and sex, there's one thing that Game of Thrones does better than pretty much any other show we can think of - death.
When it comes to killing off characters in GoT, literally nobody is off limits and no matter how attached you become to a certain character, chances are they will end up with a sword through their stomach or their head mounted on a spike at some point.
Who knows? Maybe, in some sick and twisted way, that's what keeps us watching.

Apparently, over the course of the last six seasons, a grand total of 150,966 characters have met their end and the kind folks over at Leon Andrew Razon Compilations were nice enough to make a supercut showing every single death:
It's 21 minutes long, but there's no denying its entertaining and definitely guaranteed to get you hot under the collar for season seven.
In other news, the first official look at the next series of GoT came recently in the form of a short trailer which offers a glimpse of what looks set to be some pretty action-packed viewing.

Fans were pleased to learn recently that although season seven will feature less episodes it will also feature a few that are record breaking in length.
Last week HBO.com revealed a complete breakdown of Game of Thrones runtimes for season seven, including some mammoth, record-breaking episodes.
Season seven's final episode is set to be the longest single episode of Game of Thrones to date, coming in at a staggering 81 minutes. If other series finales are anything to go by, we can assume we're going to need some counselling after sitting through this one.
The penultimate episode is also going to be an absolute beast at 71 minutes. If that's not worth celebrating with a head mounted on a spike, I don't know what is.

With just over a month to go until we get our first proper glimpse of the new season, it's safe to say that we're on the edge of our seat, but we'll have to make the most of it while it's on - it looks like we could be waiting until 2019 before we see any more GoT on our screens.
Anyway, hopefully this bloodbath of a video will keep us all going until then.
