Other off-the-beaten-path destinations included Old San Juan in Puerto Rico, Icy Straight Point in Alaska and even the Isle of Harris, closer to home in Scotland - but curiously, none of the usual Instagram photo favourites, like Tokyo and Berlin. Well, perhaps they're just not that unknown anymore: The Berlin Wall has been down for more than a quarter of a century and Tokyo is bloody massive, so neither are really hidden gems in 2019.
