Paul Sinha From 'The Chase' Quits Dry January And Gets On The Sesh In Halls

Dry January was over for him.

You may not know it, but when he isn't facing down quiz contestants, The Chase's Paul "Sinnerman" Sinha performs as a stand-up comedian.

He developed his taste for comedy while studying to be a GP at St George's Hospital Medical School in South London and still travels around the country performing his comedy routines.

On Thursday he was performing his comedy for university students in Birmingham.

Sounds innocuous - he's a qualified GP after all, presumably a sensible bloke.

Sounds like good wholesome fun - he's over 20 years older than most of his audience.

Yes, sounds like it would be a sober affair for the 46-year-old ITV quizzer.

Wrong.

Flash forward to the next day: when one of the students posted the following tweet about the night before...

A look down his Twitter also shows that at 11:11pm the following night he took to social media to announce: "I realise Dry January 20th is not as good as Dry January, but it feels like an achievement."

I can only speculated on what went on, but as far as I'm concerned the tweet and the photographic evidence speaks for itself.

Clearly Paul decided to sack off all that 'Dry January' bollocks and well and truly get on the sesh.

Fair play to him, most of us have probably been there at one time or another - one eye more shut than the other, a sly gin that says you've drunk more than you intended to. But fuck it, what's the use, you might as well have another one.

He's in a room full of 18-year-old freshers, but that is the face of a man who is living their life and does not give a shit what anybody thinks.

"You sure you should be coming in here?" ask one of the halls security guards as he passes through the reception.

"I'm Paul from the Chase, I do what I want," comes his half-cut reply.

No. His name is Paul Sinha. He's called 'the Sinnerman' for a motherfucking reason.

And he's not the only Chaser living up to their name...

The Beast Goes Berserk

In December it turned out that The Beast on The Chase isn't just called that because the programme's producers had to make what is essentially a standard quiz show more exciting by adding attention-grabbing nicknames for the show's quizzers.

No, believe me, that dude is capable of some fucked up crazy shit when he wants to. What I've seen has shown me that sometimes he's incapable of containing his anger. And that there's untamed rage locked away inside The Beast just waiting to come out and - guess what - sometimes that shit can spew over and he can get very, very angry.

Especially, it seems, when he fails to do the one thing in life he was put on God's green Earth do: answer pub quiz questions.

Watch the footage of him going berserk on set in the video below (but be warned what you see might terrify you - so keep it away from anyone under a certain age - seeing a monster unmasked like this can never be unseen)...

In the recent episode, losing £60,000 left him feeling very sour. As the team of three celebrated their victory over The Beast he congratulated them, but he wasn't hanging around too long, as he stormed off backstage, loudly punching the set as he went.

The Beast is known for losing it after making mistakes but this was probably his most furious moment on the show yet.

I'd end this article with a pun about him 'going beast mode' but, to be honest with you, anger like that isn't anything to joke about.
