The Queen's Favourite Netflix Show Has Been 'Revealed'

It's not really a surprise.

Apparently the Queen is a fan of watching biopics about herself.

A senior royal source told the Sunday Express that Her Majesty has seen all 10 episodes of The Crown, a Netflix series about her life and she loves it.

Queen Elizabeth was encouraged to watch it by her son and daughter-in-law, the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

The pair arranged for Her Highness to have a Saturday night viewing sessions in her private apartments at Windsor Castle.

"It has been a longstanding arrangement that they drive to Windsor at the weekend to join the Queen for an informal supper while watching TV or a film," the source told the Express.

"They have a Netflix account and urged her to watch it with them. Happily, she really liked it, although obviously there were some depictions of events that she found too heavily dramatised."

So it look like despite turning 91 this year, Queen Elizabeth II is taking to modern technology like a duck to water.

According to journalist Brian Hoey, writing in the Daily Mail: "She has her own mobile, has learned how to text and her phone is among the most sophisticated in the world. It is encrypted, like those used by the security services, and is said to be impossible to be hacked into.

"When she needed expert tuition in how to operate it, she was able to turn to her eldest grandchildren, Peter Phillips and his sister, Zara, who are wizards with all kinds of electronic gadgets.

"The Queen also has an iPad and a laptop, and she has a personal account on Facebook - though no one outside the Palace knows how many 'friends' she has."

Apparently, the Queen mainly speaks to two people: her daughter, Princess Anne, and her racing manager John Warren.

The Queen doesn't have a personal Twitter account, although there is an official one for the Royal Family. That is largely run by media teams which post general updates on the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the rest of the family.
