This Is Without A Doubt The Funniest Festive Snap You'll See This Year

I bet you took some great pictures this Christmas, but as much as you might value and treasure your family memories, I doubt any of your photos over the festive season were as hilarious or heart-warming as this one.

When the family who took this snap lined up for their 2016 round-up they were not expecting it to descend into farce. Their dog, however, had other ideas.

The cheeky doggo decided to empty its bowels right onto the white carpet at the exact moment the picture was taken.

The hilarious image was posted to Reddit, prompting some brilliant responses.

Reddit user Monikerbored wrote: "Haha the dog looks like he knows exactly what he's doing."

FarmerDerek joked: "Yep, that's one to send out to all the friends and relatives!"

EdwardThatone said: "I love how there's like four people who notice that their dog is getting ready to defecate on the floor in front of them."

Others sympathised with the dog. One said: "It's kinda understandable that it happened, people probably forgot about the dog during the celebrations and didn't take him out for a long time."

I've shared this pic with my friends on social media, and one of my mates said that she'd passed it round her family, so clearly it has some resonance.
