It looks like Donald Trump will be the next president of the USA, and already the Canadian immigration site has broken because so many people look to leave America.
The official website for 'Citizenship and Immigration Canada' has stopped working, apparently due to the sheer number of people researching how to emigrate.
Canada's website would usually offer ways of applying either to live in or to become a citizen of the country. But at the moment all you are able to see is a loading page and no access to the website.

Moving to live in Canada involves applying to get permanent residency in the country. There are a range of different types of citizenship, most of which require that people come for work or to live with their family.
Canada has taken in a number of refugees from a range of countries in recent months. The government has run a campaign to welcome people fleeing the war in Syria, and has been also been praised for welcoming refugees from countries around the world.
Still it's not been called yet, so keep those tired eye-balls open and stay tuned to TheLADbible to find out exactly when whichever candidate (*cough*Trump*cough*) is announced as the winner.
