Pablo Escobar's Son Has Spoken For The First Time About His Childhood

Pablo Escobar's Son Has Spoken For The First Time About His Childhood

It was 'like Disneyland', apparently.

What would it be like to be the son of a billionaire, drug kingpin? I actually thought it would be pretty awful, being on the run a lot and knowing there are loads of people who want your dad dead. But what do I know?

That's because Pablo Escobar's eldest son has spoken out about what it was like and compares it to Disneyland. I've been to Disneyland and I definitely don't remember there being murder and shit tons of cocaine. Maybe I went at the wrong time of year.

Anyway, Juan Pablo Escobar - who is an architect and not the son who rants about inaccuracies in Narcos - said it was great growing up and being the son of the Colombian drug lord. He got to spend his formative years in mansions with loads of wild animals in his garden. Tbf, that does sound cool, as you can see below.

Speaking to 60 Minutes, Juan said: "It was like living in Disneyland. Giraffe's, elephants, motorcycles, a lot of things to do and a lot of money to spend.

"I was willing to give my life for him. There's no chance I could hate my father... because I did not know exactly what he does." Fair enough, mate, no one's blaming you. You were just a kid.

At the height of his trafficking career, Escobar was pulling in almost $420 million A WEEK, so I can imagine little Juan could just go wild with the Argos catalogue (or whatever the 1980's Colombian equivalent was) and pick whatever he wanted. Lucky bastard.
