Oh dear, oh dear.

Man of the people and champion of the proletariat Piers Morgan has made scathing comments about would-be pop-singer and heir to the Beckham's fortune, Cruz Beckham, claiming that the 11-year-old was only able to release a Christmas single because of the wealth and fortune of his parents.

He also laid into David and Victoria for taking advantage of their son, who announced today he has signed up with Justin Bieber's agent and revealed his first festive track, 'If Every Day Was Christmas'.

Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Piers said: "I don't know how he managed to release a pop single. It's sickening. Put him on a talent show if you wanna see how good he is."

Piers added: "When you hear that an 11-year-old kid is going to have a song out because of who his mum and dad are does that make you mad?

"Would you say he has a great voice? He should be in school, poor kid."

Susanna Reid tried to defend Cruz and said that he was helping make a difference because the single is for charity, but Piers fired back by saying: "It is not helping the charity, it's about launching his pop career."

He replied: "Wouldn't it help Cruz Beckham if he was able to compete on a level playing field. I don't think it helps propelling this young boy on to a platform because mummy and daddy are famous."

Piers cannot seem to help himself.
