Someone turned the banter up a bit too high at a primary school in Auckland, New Zealand, using some fake cocaine (fauxcaine, I'm here all day), at a fundraiser as a prop. As it transpired, the white substance was just icing sugar. And the table which had the coke/icing sugar also had razor blades to cut it up with and mirrors.

Kids as young as five were asked to snort the substance in the toilets It was an adult-only, Las Vegas-themed party, called Vegas, Baby, according to Metro.

One of the guests, most perplexingly, was none other than New Zealand health minister Jonathan Coleman. He's claiming he wasn't in on the banter.

"Of course not. I was there all night, and frankly I didn't even know that this prop was there."

The school has sent a letter to parents apologising.

In the letter, the school's board chairman, Andrew Fox, retrospectively thought it could have been an error of judgement.

"In hindsight, this was an inappropriate choice of prop and we apologise for the offence it may have caused some people and for the reaction that has followed."

Hindsight, what a wonderful thing.

I'm just wondering who, at any stage, thought this was a good idea.
