Music and fashion have always been inextricably linked - and Liam Gallagher has been right in the middle of both since he first swaggered onto the scene with Oasis in the 1990s.

Now, Gallagher has teamed up with Adidas to create his own line of Spezial trainers, which are released at the end of the month.

Liam's got form for clobber of course - famously starting his own fashion label Pretty Green in 2009.

Now he's working with sportswear giant Adidas on a new special edition sneaker - which is bound to be lapped up when they drop at the end of the month.

The distinctive design, which features the iconic three white strips on the side, has been given a special twist to represent the Oasis legend - it features Gallagher's face on the tongue of the trainer.

And he was pretty happy about it - as well as being typically modest.

Gallagher shared a clip on Instagram which shows him getting his hands on the shoe for the first time.

"That is fucking smart innit though man," he says. "Best looking motherfucker on the planet, best fucking looking trainer on the fucking planet."

Always the shrinking violet.

We all know how passionate Liam Gallagher is about his gear. Maybe this comes from the early days of Britpop or maybe it's come about since his more recent venture into Pretty Green clothing. Either way, we all agree that the Oasis man knows his stuff. This is probably why there is so much hype around the brand new Adidas Spezial trainers which are officially endorsed by the rock and roll star.

Unlike Liam, you can't get your hands on them right away - you've got to wait until the end of the month.

The shoes will be available to buy from August 30 from the official Adidas online store. No official price has been confirmed yet, but they're expected to be around the £75 - £100 mark.
