The odds are stacked against Conor McGregor as he gears up for his ultimate showdown with Floyd Mayweather next month in Las Vegas. The Irishman is on the back foot because he's agreed to fight the 40-year-old in a boxing match, not his native mixed martial arts.
As a result, he's been working hard to get enough experience under his belt before the August 26 bout. He's brought in Dashon Johnson and Tiernan Bradley as his sparring partners and hopes to get former two-time world champion Paulie Malignaggi in as well.
But it appears that his training has got pretty heated.
Former WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas has told Villainfy Media that McGregor has been knocked out in one of his sessions.

Vargas tells the camera: "He got knocked out in sparring already, man. I heard that they tried Bradley Wheeler but he knocked him out."

It's worth noting that this claim hasn't been backed up by anyone else, but Vargas says the boxing world is pretty small and stories spread like wildfire.
He also criticised both fighters for the way they had been acting during their world tour. The pair had events in big arenas in America, Canada and the UK to trash talk each other, with some taunts landing and others completely missing their mark.
Much was said about McGregor's use of the word 'boy' when addressing Mayweather, which caused an almighty social media backlash. The Irishman decided to address the situation at another event.
The 28-year-old said: "Some of the media seems to think I've got something against black people. But I'm half black. I'm black from the bellybutton down!"

He then added: "And just so that's squashed, here's a little present for my beautiful, black female fans." And then did a hip-thrust.
A reporter then asked McGregor's what he would say to people who have accused him of disrespecting black women, to which he replied 'that was a compliment'.
Mayweather, however, doesn't seem to have a problem with anything McGregor has said so far. In an interview with TMZ, the boxer said: "We all know there's only two types of boys - a white boy and a cowboy - and I'm neither.

"Racism still exists but you know, I try to take something negative and turn it into something positive.
"A lot of people say that Conor McGregor is racist but I'm not worried about that."
We'll have to wait and see whether Conor's training allows him to get the upper hand on a boxer with a 49-0 record.
