That would be a fight and a half.

Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has said that the British boxer is willing to fight Wladimir Klitschko if Tyson Fury is stripped of his world title belts.

Hearn confirmed on Twitter that he has reached out to the Klitschko team about a potential October match-up.

Joshua claimed the IBF world heavyweight belt after it was vacated by Fury last year, beating Charles Martin at the O2 Arena in London in April and successfully defending it against Dominic Breazale in June.

His next fight is due to take place on November 26, though an opponent has yet to be named and Hearn appears to be interested in a Klitschko-Joshua fight.

Klitschko had been due for a rematch with Fury on October 29, but it has once again been called off as Fury, the WBA and WBO heavyweight champion, is 'medically unfit to fight'.

In a statement, his promoters said:

"Tyson has, this week, been declared medically unfit to fight. Medical specialists have advised that the condition is too severe to allow him to participate in the rematch and that he will require treatment before going back into the ring. Tyson will now immediately undergo the treatment he needs to make a full recovery.

"We and Tyson wish to express our sincerest apologies to all those concerned with the event and all the boxing fans who had been looking forward to the rematch. Tyson is understandably devastated by the development.

"We will be making a further statement in due course. Until then, we ask that Tyson and his family be given the privacy and the space he needs to recover during this difficult time."

Klitschko would be the biggest challenge of Joshua's career, with the Watford-born fighter currently having had 17 professional fights and won all of them via knockout.

The Ukrainian, whose career record stands at 64-4, had gone over a decade without a loss before Fury beat him on points in Dusseldorf last November.

However, it may not happen, as Hearn also stressed that the Joshua camp's would prefer for Fury to fight and defeat Klitschko once again, which would set the scene for a Joshua-Fury fight instead. If that were to happen it would be one of the most anticipated fights in recent memory.
