Man Turns £3 Into Over £20,000 By Making Same Bet On Three Matches

A Scottish man has turned £3 into over twenty grand by making the same bet on three of today's football games.

Lewis Elliott from Hawick, Scotland bet that 'both teams would score in both halves' at odds of 18/1 in a huge treble.

The first match he was counting on was Hibernian v Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

In the match Aberdeen reached the Scottish Cup final for the first time in 17 years as they managed a 3-2 victory over the competitions holders Hibs. Which meant he only had two more games to go.

Then it was Crawley v Carlisle in League Two.

In that match a stoppage-time equaliser by Jimmy Smith denied Carlisle victory in their play-off challenge as Crawley salvaged a 3-3 draw at home. All of which meant he had just one game to go.

The final game he was counting on was Chelsea v Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final.

In that match Nemanja Matic scored a stunning strike to help Chelsea beat Tottenham 4-2 at Wembley.

Which made him a total of...

And just for any doubters, Sky Bet then stepped in to confirm the treble was real.

Not a bad day for him by the looks of it.

You've got to imagine that at one stage he must have been tempted to cash out during the Chelsea match, fair play to the bloke for keeping his bottle.
