CCTV footage of drunken couples having sex in an alleyway has gone viral after being posted on PornHub.

In total, five couples, and a threesome, have become big hits on the site in the wake of footage being posted from The Point nightclub in Sunderland.

The videos have had more than 1.5 million views and have attracted hundreds of comments. How the people in the videos feel about their 15 minutes of fame is not yet known.

According to one man, the alleyway is a 'well-known shagging hotspot' and has a bit of a bucket-list type status in the area.

The footage was apparently filmed in one weekend in November. One weekend - busy spot.

Getting it on in public can land you in a heap of trouble. Remember the couple who were caught in Domino's earlier this month?

Twenty-eight-year-old Daniella Hirst and her other half, Craig Smith, were caught on camera adding some excitement to an otherwise boring wait for a pizza.

I was going to make a joke about 'enjoying a meat fest' here, but no. Let's not lower the tone, eh?

However, it wasn't all fun and games for the pair, and, because her arse was on display in the photos, Daniella ended up getting a talking to from the police.

She told the Sun: "They said they had to investigate a public indecency offence because my arse was on show in the video.

"Never mind the fact me and Craig had sex up against the counter or that I gave him a blowjob moments before.

"Craig is apparently in the clear because his clothes stayed on. You couldn't make it up.

"He was the one who pulled my trousers and knickers down to have sex as we waited for our 12in."

So, if it comes with the risk of prosecution then why would anyone risk it?

Well, Dr. Paul Dobransky, a psychiatrist and author of the forthcoming The Secret Psychology of How We Fall in Love, has previously told the New York Magazine that our love for risky sex has something to do with the interconnection between 'danger' and 'arousal'.

He said: "If you look at our two core instincts - survival and reproduction - then you can split arousal into two categories: danger arousal, which is a call to arms or to action, and sexual arousal, which is a call to reproduce.

"They're two sides of the same coin, but the brain doesn't always know the difference and can easily confuse the two."

It's all good fun until you end up all over PornHub.
