Airth Castle In Scotland Is Seriously Fucking Haunted

This hotel and spa set within an ancient castle in the Falkirk area of Scotland has got so many fucking ghosts. Seriously, so many. More ghosts than guests.

On the grounds you've got a 12th century graveyard, ruins of an old church and Airth Castle itself, which dates back to the days of the Robert the Bruce. So, let's be honest, if it wasn't haunted that'd be a disappointment, wouldn't it?

One guy who was at a wedding at the castle reckons he snapped the ghost of a groundsman, nicknamed the green phantom, who is said to haunt the lower floors of the castle and ghost experts have taken a look at the image and seem to think it's legit.

Speaking to the Daily Record at the time, Mark Turner, from Ghostfinders Scotland, said: "This is one of the strangest photos I have seen. The image is behind a chair which gives a clear definition of scale. Only the image is out of focus. Everything else is pin-sharp."

Proof?

There are also reports of dusty footsteps on a staircase that isn't used anymore and no one can get up or down. And if dusty footprints aren't enough to fully put the shits up you then can I interest you in a ghost dog that attacks people's ankles? Because it's got one of those, too.

And if you're still not satisfied that this place deserves its own horror movie then how about a ghost nanny and two children who died in a fire in the castle in the 1800s? Guests and staff have reported that you can hear the little dead little children running up and down the corridors at all hours of the day and night. Fuck that.

Guests have also reported hearing screams and crying, which is said to come from a maid who was being beaten by her master. Or, you know, it's a bunch drunken Scots kicking off...
