Great White Shark Attacks Kayaker In Brutal Video

A scary moment.

The moment that a kayaker was attacked by a great white shark has been captured in shocking footage.

Brian Correiar, a certified diver, was paddling in his 14-foot kayak through Monterey Bay when the shark came at him and knocked him into the sea.

The footage was recorded by an on-looker on the shoreline, who can be heard in the footage asking his wife to call 911.

Corriear remembers hearing a bang before the kayak was launched into the air and he fell halfway out.

He said he could see the shark's head above the water with its jaws latched onto the end of his kayak.

Correriar initially froze but then quickly got out of the kayak and tried swimming to shore, while keeping an eye on the great white.

On the way he spotted a sailboat and frantically waved it down, managing to get on board despite being hunted down by the man-eater.

It comes after an Aussie man went viral after engaging in a tug-of-war battle with a vicious, ravenous shark, before telling the king of the ocean to 'fuck off'.

The only way the man could have got more Australian would have been if he followed it up by playing a game of knifey-spoony and downing a lager out of a shoe.

The incident came after Nicholas Wilks and his dad, David, were pulling in their fishing net off Port Pirie, South Australia.

As they pulled in the net they saw the shark tearing fish from it.

David managed to tip the shark out and continue pulling in the net, but the shark wasn't done.

"Apparently the shark hadn't had enough so he came back and when he was right by the boat, dad tried to ward him off with a swift punch to the nose", Nic told BuzzFeed.

"And so the shark didn't like that very much and went berserk and that's when he grabbed onto the net."

What ensued was a battle of man vs beast, land vs ocean - and surprisingly, in this instance, the shark did what it was told and fucked off.

The duo see sharks all the time while out fishing, but David says this is the first time in 30 years that they have experienced something like this.

I don't know about you, mate, but there's not much that would scare me more than a great white shark coming at me, looking like it was ready to tear my body in half with one of those big, white, grinning jaws they have.

I'm glad that's not happening to me any time soon, but that was an actual reality for one cameraman. Horrifying footage captured in South Africa showed a great white shark breaching with its jaws wide open.

The predator was tempted out of the sea by bait from a group of fishermen, who were filming at the time.

Half of its huge body leaps out of the water to grab at the bait and the camera comes incredibly close to the shark's mouth.

The clip was filmed in April from a boat off the coast of the Western Cape - and nobody fancied telling that thing to 'fuck off'.
