Where do you store your fruit? In the fridge? A fruit bowl? A vagina?
A woman on Reddit recently posted about a new sex fetish she and her husband have been trying, which involves the storing of fruit (such as apples, pears and carrots - all organic, of course) in her vagina all day so her husband can eat it from her when he gets home from work in the evening.
Yeah, because nothing says, 'welcome home darling' like a vagina-flavoured apple.
The new fetish - an attempt to spice things up in the hopes of trying to save their relationship - has been going on for a couple of months now, she writes, and so she decided to post to Reddit because of some growing concerns.
She stresses how she gives the fruits a good old scrubbing before getting them up there ready for hubby's late-night snack, but asks the forum: "Can this make him or I sick?"
We're going to go with a resounding YES - but what do we know?
There are a slew of comments warning the original poster of a nasty UTI or yeast infection, and worst case, toxic shock.
One commenter simply says: "Vegetables are not meant to go inside of vaginas."
But as bewildered as we are, people aren't ruling it out and are even offering some sound advice. One commenter says: "Personally, I'd avoid things like strawberries that might fall apart easily and stick with firm foods with tough (smooth) skins." No pineapples then...
Another user suggests having the fruits vacuum-packed to avoid infection.
One comment, from someone who claims to be a real doctor (though not a gynaecologist), offers some general advice - and a lot of it.
In the mega-lengthy comment, the doctor explains how the husband's risk is minimal (well of course it is) and while she could indeed be heading for a UTI or yeast infection, there is no medical evidence to prove it.
Your five-a-day just got a lot more interesting.
