When archaeologists unearthed remnants of ancient Egypt in the pyramids and ornate burial tombs, it showed off their incredible culture; with hieroglyphics also helping to paint a beautiful snapshot of what life was like back in those days.

But I'm worried that people, thousands of years in the future, will unearth some of the weird trends from 2017 and think we were all a bunch of weirdos. This latest product falls into that category.

If you're ever been at the beach, or by the pool and thought there was a distinct lack of jewellery hanging from your nether regions, then this is the invention for you.

Introducing Beachtails by BoDivas, which is described as a 'sexy charm for bikini crotch'. The chain is roughly seven centimetres long and made of stainless steel. Unfortunately, there are no reviews on Amazon, Etsy or eBay so you might have to take a chance and test it out.

They range from $19.50 to $22.50 (£14.98-17.29) and come in a range of colours.

I'm not really sure how the metal chain would feel rubbing against a person's legs and private parts but I imagine it wouldn't be great.

But don't knock it till you try it, it could change your life.

If you're wondering what other fads or trends that have raised eyebrows just this year, look no further than women inserting wasp's nests into their vagina. Oak galls, the nests in which wasps reside, are being ground into a paste for 'vaginal rejuvenation'.

It got so much attention that doctors and scientists actually had to issue a warning for people not to do it.
