Pubs were forced to close early at a seaside resort over the weekend after a gang of hoodlums descended onto the town causing chaos.
Widespread fighting, shoplifting and loutish behaviour was reported by locals in Cromer with Norfolk Police forced to increase their presence in the area to combat the troubles.
Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, tweeted: "Very concerned by what I've read online tonight. Of course happy to support people in Cromer in any way I can."

Users on Twitter claimed that a group of 'travellers' were responsible for the outbreak of violence, however this has not been confirmed by police.
North Norfolk District Council said a group of travellers in 23 caravans had set up camp in the town's Runton Road car park on Friday but had now started to leave after being served a notice.
In a statement, the local authority said: "We are working closely with the police to reassure the community, businesses and visitors to our seaside resorts.
"The council will always act swiftly where there are illegal encampments."
