An excruciating video showing a man in a gym trying to do a deadlift on YouTube has absolutely horrified people after a picture of his broken spine emerged on Imgur.
Can this possibly be real? The footage is allegedly from China and it shows a fairly trim man trying to deadlift a huge amount of weight, then falling onto the weight when, allegedly, his spine breaks in two.
Check out the video and see what you think.

A horrible gym accident or some seriously bad acting? Later, the man posted up this picture, where you can see the spine is in two pieces.
I'm totally scarred for life.

However, people have poured doubt on the photo, which looks like it's in Photoshop or at least Paint to me.
Commenters on YouTube have said that the gym bunny probably just fainted and that the image of the spine isn't an X-ray or anything at all science-based.
If his spine had really cracked in two, then the vertebrae would have gone forward and not backwards, someone else pointed out.
Another mentioned that if his spine had cracked in two, then he would have died immediately.

Well that's enough to put me off going to the gym!
