Woman, 30, Says She's In A Serious Relationship With A Ghost She Met On Holiday

A woman who gave up blokes for ghosts has announced that she is in a long-term relationship with one and is planning on having a baby. No, really.

You might remember back in December when we first brought you the story of the woman who had given up on men in favour of, well, men who have died, and we're happy to report that she has finally found true love.

UK-based Amethyst Realm shot to sort of fame by appearing on This Morning at the end of the last year, confusing Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby with her bizarre choice of (after)life partner.

Now, she claims to have met the ghost of her dreams while on a trip to Australia.

"One day, while I was walking through the bush, enjoying nature, I suddenly felt this incredible energy. I knew a new lover had arrived," the 30-year-old spiritual guidance counsellor told Aussie magazine New Idea.

"It's pretty serious. In fact, we've even been thinking about having a ghost baby. I know that sounds crazy but I've been looking into it and I don't think it's totally out of the question."

Of course, the realities of physics are at best a minor issue for Amethyst, so the pesky problems of, y'know, ghosts not actually existing aren't going to stand in the way of her and her new beau having a baby.

"I'm sure there's a way around that," she said of the not inconsiderable logistical challenges of having a child with a ghoul. "I just haven't worked it out yet."

Finally, a statement that we can agree with. I haven't worked it out either.

Back in December, she explained live on This Morning how she had begun to feel affections for ghosts.

"I was living with my fiancé and he was working away a lot," she told Phillip and Holly. "We'd just moved into a new house in Hereford, and after a while he was going away maybe one week, two weeks at a time. I started to feel a presence."

I mean, Hereford isn't the most interesting place in the world, but surely it hadn't become so tedious as to reject the whole place and move onto the next astral plane.

If it was Worcester, maybe, but Hereford? Home of the Waterworks Museum and Hereford Cathedral? Give it another chance, Amethyst.

After all, what is weirder - finding something interesting about Hereford or telling the world that you're shagging ghosts?
