A woman who had her nipple pierced ended up having to have one of her boobs removed after the piercing got infected and left her with life threatening sepsis.
Nikki Belza, 33, had a breast enlargement at 21, taking her boobs from a 32AA to 32DDD and setting her back £18,000.
Nikki, from Las Vegas, decided her boobs could do with a little decoration and opted for a piercing in her left nipple. She awoke one night, months later, in agony after pulling the bar out *wince*.
However, rather than getting better the pain got worse and worse and she eventually collapsed at work with a temperature that was through the roof.

Doctors told her she had picked up an infection called Streptococcal A, which had caused her to develop sepsis and had destroyed her breast tissue, leaving surgeons with no option but to take out her left implant to save her life.
She is hoping to a have a new implant fitted in future but until she does she's left looking very lop-sided.
Nikki told the Daily Mail: "When I woke up in the ICU I couldn't look at my chest, I was completely devastated but so thankful that I was alive.
"The crippling pain had finally gone, but I was left with only one boob, they had managed to save my nipple but my left breast is now completely flat."
