Here's a nice story to give us all a bit hope on this fine Friday morning. Remember our pal John Goehrke who chanced his arm on Twitter and asked Canadian tennis-ace Eugenie Bouchard on a date?

Well, it looks like Wednesday's date went so well that Genie is keen to plan another, and we can assume John is more than OK with that, too.

Speaking to TMZ Genie said: "It has been awesome, he's normal." Which might not sound like much, but believe me it's hard to find.

She then added: "I planned the date. He picked me up at my hotel like a gentleman, then we came over here, he brought me a nice little gift and he enjoyed the game courtside. I'm lucky he's normal." See, that's how rare it is, she had to mention it twice.

When asked if she would be seeing him again, she said: "For sure."

Oh and 'the little gift' was a pair of Tiffany earrings, which start at around £135 and go all the way up to 'price available on request', so he wasn't messing about here, he knew this was his chance.

In the clip Genie uploaded to her Instagram John can be heard saying that the date is, 'Very good - the best date ever.' But, to be honest, he looked chilled as fuck, like he dates stunning Wimbledon finalists every week or something.

Jammy John won the date after betting that betting the New England Patriots would win Super Bowl 51, which they did and true to her word Genie went.

Speaking before the date, she told Sports Illustrated: "I want to honour my word and stay true to it, so I'm going on that date and that's actually tonight.

"We're going to go to the Brooklyn Nets game. He's flying in this afternoon, so I look forward to meeting him tonight and I hope he enjoys it. And I hope it's not too awkward."

The pair sat courtside at the Barclays Centre to watch the game and ended the night with a kiss.
