Argentina are a team packed with stars, from arguably the greatest player on the planet in Lionel Messi, to two of the best players in Serie A in Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala and as far as Premier League legends such as Sergio Aguero.
No matter what they do, however, they must always compete with their most famous fan, who is guaranteed to overshadow their actions through his hilarious, over-the-top, and always controversial actions.
I'm speaking, of course, about Diego Maradona.
El Diego was on top form last night as Argentina qualified for the Second Round of the World Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Nigeria.
Maradona was photographed cheering, dancing, appearing to fall asleep and, yes, flicking the finger at Nigeria fans as the final goal went in.
The image of one of the best players ever acting like a fan who'd had one too many obviously caused a fair amount of uproar and when Maradona was pictured undergoing medical examination after his antics, many suggested that the great man might have been under the influence.
He later sent a WhatsApp voice message to a journalist, Daniel Arcucci, explaining why he acted the way that he did.
"Where we were they were only serving white wine," said Maradona. "Yes, we drank all the wine, but now I'm talking to you and I'm telling you the truth.
"I swear on the lives of my mum, my grandson Benjamin and my son Dieguito Fernando's life that nothing happened.
"At the end of the first half we went to eat. I like red wine and there was white wine."
Arcucci later released the message, along with one that Diego set to his partner, Rocio Olivia.
"Hello my love. No heart attack, no injection, nothing," said the Napoli and Argentina legend.
"I don't know where they're getting it from that I had heart problems or I had to be an adrenaline shot. It all seems so mad, so stupid.
"It's 3am and we're just getting back to Moscow without any problems. No alcohol or important story."
He later wrote an Instagram message to clarify the situation that read: "I want to tell everyone that I am fine, that I am not, neither was I interned.
"In the halftime of the game against Nigeria, my neck hurt a lot and I suffered a decompensation.
"I was checked by a doctor and he recommended me to go home before the second half, but I wanted to stay because we were risking it all. How could I leave? I send a kiss to everyone, thanks for the support!'"

So that clears it up - sort of.
A middle-aged football legend, stuffed full of white wine, having the time of his life as his team finally showed up at the World Cup.
To be honest, he could have sacrificed a goat and most people in Argentina would still think he was God.
