Drunk Woman Smashes Up Chicken Shop Because Meal Deal Didn't Include Drink

We've all done really stupid things when drunk. Whether that's hooking up with someone you shouldn't have, or losing keys or wallet/purse or phone (or all of the above), or getting in a fight, or falling asleep on public transport, or falling over and really hurting yourself or... you get the idea.

But smashing up a restaurant because the meal you ordered doesn't come with a drink seems a little extreme. Take a look below:

But that's exactly what one apparently incredibly wasted woman did at a branch of fried chicken chain Popeye's in Staten Island, New York after ordering a $4 Wicked Good Deal.

That deal included chicken strips, a biscuit, fries and a sauce, which for $4 - about £2.90 at today's exchange rate - does indeed seem like a wicked good deal. Ahem.

But not according to this particular woman, who - according to staff at the fast food chain who spoke to TV channel NBC 4 - was 'extremely drunk' when she came into the restaurant.

When she was told that the Wicked Cool Deal meal did not, in fact, come with a drink, staff said that she got 'extremely angry'.

It's reported she was convinced that he staff in that particular branch of Popeye's were trying to cheat her.

Staff apparently tried to reason with her and to explain that she was perhaps confusing the meal deal with one offered by fast food chain (and champions of Twitter) Wendy's, but the woman wasn't having any of that.

Instead, rage took over and she gave staff the middle finger before throwing a banner sign at the door. Clearly, that didn't satisfy her, so she then picked up a chair and tried to put it through one of the shop's windows.

Luckily, it failed to smash, which probably resulted in a lot less pain and blood for everybody involved, especially if she really was that drunk.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV and police are now trying to track the woman down. If they find her and she's convicted, it'll cost her a lot more than whatever it was she would have had to pay to add the drink to her meal. The joys of alcohol, eh?
