Logan Paul’s Wrestlemania Performance Leaves Fans Seriously Impressed

Logan Paul’s Wrestlemania Performance Leaves Fans Seriously Impressed

Logan Paul used classic moves to beat the Mysterios in his first-ever Wrestlemania match

YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned-wrestler Logan Paul made his official WWE debut at Wrestlemania - perhaps through gritted teeth, fans are impressed.

He fought Floyd Mayweather and lived to tell the tale. Now, Logan is branching out into wrestling.

Ahead of Wrestlemania 38 in Texas, Paul was first seen taking on Rey and Dom Mysterio earlier in March, surprising viewers at home with a 'pretty decent' performance.

Last night (2 April), on the first night of the biggest wrestling event of the year, he had his first tag-team match with The Miz against the Mysterio father-son duo.

Not only did he achieve a surprise victory - to the point The Miz even turned on him at the end - he seemed to fit naturally into the theatrics and athleticism of WWE, whipping out the Three Amigos and even a Frog Splash.

Wrestling writer Bryan Alvarez tweeted: "You can hate the guy but Logan Paul was a total natural out there."

His brother Jake also wrote: "So proud of Logan for winning tonight what a performance. I told the WWE fans they would have to bow down."

Podcaster JDfromNY praised Logan's performance, writing: "Logan Paul absolutely f***ing killed it tonight. He may actually be better than Bad Bunny was last year #WrestleMania. Miz and Paul beat the Mysterio’s. Make them the f***ing tag team champions."

Other fans have been similarly complimentary, with one writing: "Hard to believe that this is Logan Paul’s first wrestling match. Hate to say it but he looks great!"

Another tweeted: "Logan Paul has impressed me more than Bad Bunny. Holy s**t this guy's is a natural."

A third wrote: "Be mad about it all you want but Logan Paul is a natural in the ring and a ready made superstar."

A fourth tweeted: "Guys, I’m not gonna lie. I’d be all for Logan Paul having another match. Or two. Or signed to a contract."

Speaking to talkSPORT ahead of the match, when asked if he'd go full-time in the WWE, Logan said 'probably'.

He said: "If I continue my involvement in WWE, hopefully I can bring stuff to the table that switches it up.

"I’m an innovator and I’m always here to pitch ideas and at the end of the day I’m creative. If I can get more involved in the behind the scenes stuff with Vince’s approval, that would be fun.

"To be honest, bro… Probably. Yeah, probably. It just has to make sense with my schedule.

"I’m doing so much stuff and I have to really be careful where I allocate my energy. This happened with boxing. At first I did it, I tried it out and I loved it, so I kept doing it."
