Greggs Is Giving Away Free Food To Students And We Didn't Even Know

If there's one thing on this earth that we love more than Greggs, it's FREE Greggs. Yep, it doesn't get much better than chowing down on a sausage roll that you haven't even needed to pay for - and luckily for students, they can enjoy this privilege every time they purchase a sandwich deal.

Anyone with a valid student ID will be gifted a free sausage roll, cheese and onion bake, sweet treat, snack pack, apple or banana when they buy the full sandwich deal. Incredible stuff.

Just think about it: nipping to Greggs on your way to uni with a stonking hangover, grabbing lunch for later while also picking up a free sausage roll to sort you out for breakfast... That really is the stuff of dreams.

Although this deal isn't actually a new development, it seems like loads of students had absolutely no idea that it even existed, as it's currently doing the rounds on Twitter - where people are absolutely buzzing.

And if you're not a student? Don't worry! You can still get in on the Greggs freebie action when your birthday rolls around - as we learned from the same scrolling sesh over on the Ts and Cs area.

The website says: "On your birthday (according to your date of birth as you entered as part of the registration process for Greggs Rewards) we will send you a complimentary sweet treat to enjoy.

"Your birthday sweet treat is any single serving item from our confectionery range, such as a cupcake, cream cake or doughnut. Sharing cakes, giant cupcakes, punnets and multi-packs are not eligible for this promotion."

Better still, you can enjoy your birthday treat within 'one calendar month' of its issue, meaning you can really, really, really string out that birthday of yours.

To redeem the offer, you simply need to generate a code using the Greggs smartphone app or online using the Greggs Rewards pages. You'll then just have to scan it in a participating Greggs shop to apply the promotion, before selecting something tasty from the confectionery range.
