Not To Alarm You But Fanta Lemon Has Apparently Been Discontinued

Nothing beats cracking open an ice cold Fanta Lemon on holiday to accompany your packet of Lays crisps, but it looks like our vay-cay traditions may be set to change.

We don't want to upset you, but it looks like Fanta has just confirmed that the lemon flavour of the fizzy pop has been discontinued. That's right. Discontinued.

The drinks brand seemed to confirm the sad news on Thursday, in the most heartbreaking Twitter exchange EVER:

Replying directly to a Lemon Fanta fan, the company explained that the drink is sadly no longer going to be available. It is unclear whether this is worldwide or just in certain countries. Please don't do this to us, we can't cope.

And Twitter users feel just as strongly about this as we do, one person spoke about the tragedy saying: "What the fuck as if Fanta Lemon has been discontinued honestly what am i even living for anymore cba."

Another added: "Fanta Lemon being discontinued has made me want to discontinue my life wtf every summer to come is ruined."

A third said: "Can't believe Fanta Lemon has been discontinued what the fuck am I supposed to drink around the pool on holiday now?"

And as we clutch on to a little bit of hope, we have seen some people suggesting that this is only true for America, and will not be the case for the UK.

One person said: "Lots of people missing that this is only in America. The UK still has Fanta Lemon."

With another agreeing, saying: "Ok I researched Fanta Lemon is not cancelled in the UK, only America amen".

I really hope this is the case for everyone in the UK.

This directed our attention to other pressing matters - like what would be left for the Fanta Lemon slushies that were being rolled out in the Highlander Scottish Bar Ibiza?

The bar was selling frozen cocktails, which contain a mixture of Fanta Lemon and Grey Goose vodka. Very sophisticated, sort of, but potentially not for much longer? Who knows.

RIP then, Lemon Fanta. Or maybe not. Let's all pray for the latter.
