It's definitely been a long, hot summer, and with the heatwave showing no signs of cooling down anytime soon, we reckon it's time to treat ourselves to a frozen bev. Sound good?
Well, we're in luck because Slush Puppie has just announced that you'll soon be able to buy the frozen drinks in pouches.

That's right, you won't have to nip to your nearest cinema to cool yourself off anymore, as you can stockpile them in your own freezer.
Just like the ones that come straight out of the machine, you'll be able to pick from Blue Raspberry, Sour Cherry or Strawberry. You could even mix all three together - because that's the only way slushies should be drunk, right? Not forgetting a splash of vodka as well.
Richard Benjamin, director of Slush Puppie manufacturer Manchester Drinks, said: "The Slush Puppie brand has been around for decades and remains hugely popular with adults and children alike.

"With the brand already well established in the UK in the dispenser format, we are delighted to introduce our resealable pouch which is a simple way for consumers to enjoy their favourite slush drink wherever and whenever they choose."
Now, these aren't available right this minute, as the brand says that the Slush Puppie pouches will land in the UK 'later this year'. What a way to keep us on our toes, guys. But, remember, the heatwave ain't lasting forever.

When they do arrive onto the supermarket shelves, the individual frozen pouches will cost you just around £1.29 ($1.70). You'll also be able to pick up a pack of three, but there is currently no word on the price of the multiple packs.
While we're waiting for the official release of these slushy pouches, you might want to pick up your very own Slush Puppie machine - because why not?
Thanks to ASOS and Fizz Creations, you can now have a Slush Puppie machine in the comfort of your home.

ASOS is selling the genius creation for £59.99 ($78.99) online - it makes up to one litre of slush at a time - just make sure you add your own syrup.
Saying that, if you buy a machine, you'll have no reason to get the pouches when they do eventually become available.
So, it's your call, wait for a maximum of five months (because they've promised us 'this year') or buy an actual machine now. Either way it's a win-win kind of situation.
