'Apex Legends' Data Miners Find Potential New Content Including Survival Mode

Those pesky data miners have done it again, digging through Apex Legends' files to find morsels of what could be upcoming content. Or scrapped content. We might never know.

As reported by @RealApexLeaks, data miners have found references to previously unknown modes and characters. One mode is called Survival, and while we've nothing official to go on, it seems that the mode will involve NPC spectators who will respond to the players' actions and commentators who will, you guessed it, provide commentary.

There may also be replays in the new mode, cited as similar to those seen in Rocket League. Since Apex Legends currently has no replay feature of any kind, this would be quite a change.

To me it all sounds like some sort of gladiatorial arena set-up, perhaps similar to Titanfall 2's 1v1 Coliseum mode?

Two new playable characters were also unearthed. One is called Octane, who has a stim-injection ability. This may be similar to the stim tactical ability in Titanfall 2, which provided a boost to speed for a limited time. Then there is Wattson, who seems to be able to drop a Tesla trap. (No, not like the car. Well, we assume not like the car.)

Apex Legends' first batch of new content is set to launch sometime next month, so perhaps we'll know more about these possible features, then.

And what about you? What modes or features would you like to see brought to Apex Legends? Let us know over on Twitter and Facebook.
