BioWare Heads Hint At New 'Mass Effect' Game On N7Day

BioWare Heads Hint At New 'Mass Effect' Game On N7Day

Amidst the development and excitement for next year's multiplayer action RPG, Anthem, BioWare teased fans with a return of Mass Effect, the studio's previous sci-fi series.

Although the latest instalment, Mass Effect: Andromeda, launched just last year, it never truly captured the brilliance left from the franchise's original trilogy, which ended in 2012.

As a result, fans long to revisit the days of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 - whether it be through 4K remake or a true follow up - and they'll hope Michael Gamble is on the same wave length.

After celebrating N7Day (7 November - when BioWare and fans alike celebrate Mass Effect), the Anthem and Mass Effect lead producer said: "We still have stories left to tell in this universe...the future is bright."

Although this is obviously rather exciting, Anthem's February launch will be top priority for BioWare at the moment, so don't expect to see a new Mass Effect any time soon.

That being said - be excited - at least you know the series is on their radar, and the fact Gamble says there's "stories left to tell" alludes to a brand-new, completely fresh telling - hopefully the game players should've got last year.

It wouldn't be the first time BioWare suggested Mass Effect isn't dead and, to be frank, it wasn't even the only time on N7Day that the studio teased it.

During a short Twitter video, BioWare boss Casey Hudson said: "It means coming into the studio every day, dreaming about what the next great Mass Effect game will be."

He then stares into the camera for an intentionally long time, drinking from a Mass Effect mug boasting Commander Shepard famous line "I Should Go". Damn tease.

Here's how Mass Effect fans reacted to both tweets:

What do you think about this news? Would you like to see a remake or a brand-new game? Make sure you let us know.
