CD Projekt Won’t Say You Can’t Have Sex With Keanu Reeves In 'Cyberpunk 2077'

Now that the excitement of Keanu Reeves appearing on stage at E3 and in the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 has calmed down, we can move onto the important questions that come with his inclusion in the game. How large a role will Keanu play? Will the devs be able to resist making him speak quotes from his own films? And can you have sex with Keanu?

If there's one thing we've learned from CD Projekt RED's previous games, the studio isn't averse with letting you do the sex with its main characters. And, new, Keanu Reeves may be a main character.

Naturally, fans have already put this question to CD Projekt RED on Twitter:

And CD Projekt answered, kinda:

So, that's not a no.

Doing my journalistic due diligence, I've asked CD Projekt's PR manager here in the UK "Can you have sex with Keanu Reeves?" and I will update the story if they get back to me.

It appears that Reeves, who play Johnny Silverhand in the game, a rockstar who has been missing, presumably dead, for a while. So if he's in your head, he's either in hiding and communicating with you from afar, or he's some kind of ghost in the machine, living on in your head. Perhaps this is what the chip in the most recent trailer is all about?

According to PC Gamer, Reeves isn't just a projection in the game, he even slips into the character creator. If you spend too long putting together your character then he'll say "You really think they give a rat's dick how you look?". Which is a charming sentiment. But also a sign that the boy is breaking the fourth wall.

Of course, if he is a ghost, it will make it more difficult to do the dirty with Keanu. Though, if Patrick Swayze could do it in Ghost then there's no reason Keanu can't.

In the meantime, while we wait to hear more about Cyberpunk 2077, the most productive thing we can probably do is decide on our outfits for meeting Keanu and pick an opening line. Maybe put some thought into the time after that first date - his place? Yours? - and how you will describe it to your friends. Breathtaking?

We're in a brave new world, people. Keanu Reeves is in a video game.

Of course, Reeves being in a game and the recent announcement that The Witcher 3 is coming to Switch, does mean there's now a slim chance we'll see Reeves/Silverhand turn up in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
