Drake’s New Album Has An Obvious Final Fantasy Reference

Thanks to his collaborations with Ninja, we all know Drake enjoys a bit of gaming.

To show his love for the hobby even more, his new album, Scorpion, which came out today, includes a neat little reference to Final Fantasy.

The track, which is also called Final Fantasy, is about Drake sharing his fantasies to his partner, but the name isn't the only nod to the franchise. We can't help but notice a recognisable tune in the background - can you?

He may have edited and rejigged it a little, but Final Fantasy's classic Prelude theme is definitely sampled in the track.

To be honest, we're surprised he's not shoved in Fortnite's opening song with how much he loves the game; he could change the name to Fortnite Fantasy, maybe?

Drake and Ninja raked in a massive 635,000 concurrent viewers during their Battle Royale stream, but maybe the rapper prefers a different genre all together.

We're not sure if he's actually a fan of Final Fantasy or if he just likes the theme song, but either way it's a pretty cool nod to a classic series.
