John Wick’s Coming To ‘Fortnite’ In A Limited Time Mode

John Wick’s Coming To ‘Fortnite’ In A Limited Time Mode

Fortnite dataminers have discovered that a John Wick-themed limited time event is on its way to developer Epic's battle royale. Just in time for the Keanu Reeves assassin film, which is out in cinemas now. While the details of the event are still being unearthed, it looks like players will be split into rival teams looking to wipe each other out.

Details teasing the event were picked up when one Redditor spotted Wick's house had appeared at Paradise Palms:

And now a John Wick skin has been uncovered by Lucas7yoshi:

Well, technically two skins, because there's also a damaged variant:

Lucas has also uncovered the blurb text for the event, which reads "The High Table has opened a new contract. You're tough but not unstoppable, if you are eliminated three times you are out for good. Stay alive and collect gold tokens by eliminating the other bounty hunters. The first team to reach the required token count wins, but be careful how far ahead you get - token leaders are marked on the map for all to see."

The gold tokens are a nod to the John Wick films, where hits are paid for with engraved gold coins. Who would have thought that the world of contract killers would be in the premium currency game, too?

With the film out in cinemas now, the mode is likely going to launch soon. Though, Epic and the dataminers aren't saying when.

There also looks like there may be more Wick-themed changes coming as Lucas has found a file making references to the Continental, the hotel where the contract killers in the film hang out.

Of course, if you're looking for something meatier, there is a whole John Wick game being developed, too.
