Nintendo’s E3 Sale Includes Discounts On Zelda, Animal Crossing And Mario Kart

Nintendo’s E3 Sale Includes Discounts On Zelda, Animal Crossing And Mario Kart

With E3 2019 in full swing in Los Angeles, Nintendo has reduced prices on a number of popular Switch and 3DS titles, available on its European and North American online stores.

The Nintendo Direct of yesterday showed off a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and gave us more footage of the upcoming Switch remake of (and provide a release date for) Link's Awakening, so it's not a massive surprise to see a game from the series get a few quid off.

The all-time classic adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is reduced to a seriously-if-you-don't-have-this-GET-THIS price of £11.99 on 3DS. For the same (outgoing, sob) system, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is also subject to a discount right now, on sale for £11.99. Timely, what with the Switch's first Animal Crossing title, New Horizons, also a focus of the E3 Nintendo Direct.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Also reduced on 3DS are Luigi's Mansion, Final Fantasy Explorers, SEGA 3D Classics Collection, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. Some bangers, there.

Moving onto Nintendo's console of the moment, the Switch, and the eShop is stuffed with some pretty smashing bargains. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is down to £33.29, from £49.99, in case you're yet to own a copy of the best Mario Kart ever made. Mario Tennis Aces - not quite in the same league as Kart, but still a decent racquet 'em up - is subject to the exact same reduction.

Final Fantasy VII - whose Remake we got a load more info on at E3 - is on sale for £10.23, and fan-favourite Final Fantasy IX is reduced, too, to £13.59. Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster has a little off as well, currently listed for £35.99. (Reminder that a remaster of Final Fantasy VIII is on the way, due for release later this year.)

Into the indiesphere, and the superb bugs-everywhere metroidvania Hollow Knight is down to £5.49, making it an insta-buy if you've not had the pleasure yet. Rounding up some other classics: Cuphead is at £14.40, Undertale £8.99, Celeste £12.05, Sonic Mania £11.19, and Crypt of the NecroDancer is right the way down at £3.59, ahead of the Zelda-themed Cadence of Hyrule coming out on June 13.

Please note, though, that this sale only runs until June 18. So, snap to it!
