If you somehow didn't know, Red Dead Redemption 2 releases THIS FRIDAY. Yep, it's come round quicker than an old Western saloon door.
Console users, specifically those on Xbox One and PS4 devices, will soon dive into the immense open-world Rockstar Games have created, whilst PC players will be able to, erm, doing something else.
Don't worry, PC people, you might not have to watch YouTube videos or hear your friends stories on how brilliant Red Dead 2 is for long - the in-demand PC version could release next year, according to this retail listing.
Like Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar isn't releasing a PC version of Red Dead 2 on its initial launch day. The studio did offer GTA V for PC a year later, but as of yet, there's no official confirmation that Arthur Morgan and co. will get the same treatment.
However, MediaMarkt, one of "Europe's largest retailers for consumer electronics," seem to think Red Dead 2's PC copy is coming December 31, 2019.
Before we start speculating, it's worth noting that this listing could be a place holder for another product, or a simple mistake. But that's down right boring...
Another explanation is that the huge retailer has knowledge of a PC port, and uploaded it to their site a tad early. Although the date resembles a typical, automated release date - it suggests the game is actually coming, the most important thing to take from so-called 'leak'.
Similar to a another 'leak', where a Rockstar employee added Red Dead 2 PC to their LinkedIn experience page before deleting it, MediaMarkt has removed the error. Cheers TechTastic for snapping it up!
Hopefully Rockstar announces a PC release in the near future because I'm actually starting to feel sorry for non-console players as the hype train nears its final destination.
What do you think about this news? Are you hoping for a PC version? Would it be better on a computer? Which console will you be using? Let us know on Twitter.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to launch on 26 October for Xbox One and PS4.
