'Spider-Man' Launch Trailer Boasts The Chaos Of New York City, Images Also Released

To help with the ever-frustrating wait for this year's Spider-Mangame, Sony has released a brand-new trailer and a few 4K images - it looks better and better with every teaser.

In the launch trailer, Peter Parker is taking care of daily chaos found in the vast city of New York, with a number of Spidey's biggest enemies making an appearance.

Fighting animal lovers Rhino and Scorpio, riding on top of an out of control car, and swinging through the stunning skyline are just some of the highlights from the one minute video - but there's also a brief meeting with Miles Morales.

According to Wccftech, Insomniac Games has teased his role for quite sometime, but up until now nothing has been confirmed. Fans will be pleased to learn that Ultimate Spider-Man will be in the game, but I guess we'll just have to wait to find out why.

And that's about it from the short trailer, which seems to end in an instant. Fear not, however, as Sony also released a bunch of high quality, action packed screenshots. Rather than bat on about them, here are some of the more exciting ones (these are all taken from the PS4 Pro, by the way):

Variety reported that players can take their time exploring the neighbourhoods of the Big Apple at their leisure, from Manhattan and onward.

This adaptation of Spidey will see him boast eight years of crime-fighting experience, meaning tons of new skills and abilities will be available throughout. It will follow never-seen-before stories from the much loved Marvel universe, and you can even control Parker's lover Mary-Jane.

We're not exactly sure what use she'll be when fighting bad guys, but we can't wait to find out. The Insomniac Studios game will release exclusively for PS4 on 7 September, and there's also a limited edition red Spider-Man console to go with it.
