Two Lonely Island Tracks Have Been Added to Twitch’s Karaoke Game

Two Lonely Island Tracks Have Been Added to Twitch’s Karaoke Game

Now, personally, I'm not sure I'd want to broadcast my terrible karaoke croonings to the world through Twitch, but, if that's your jam, two absolute bangers have been added to Twitch Sings. You can now sing along to 'I'm On A Boat' and 'Jack Sparrow'.

Launched for free back in April, Twitch Sings is a karaoke game developed by Rock Band and Guitar Hero creator Harmonix. You're rewarded for how well you hit the notes and pitch of the song, with a final score letting you compete with other players. Twitch Sings originally launched with more than 2,000 songs to choose from, though they were all cover versions rather than the original tracks. Amazon-owned Twitch has been adding to that catalogue since, but in the case of these Lonely Island tracks, they're the originals, not covers.

While you can download and play Twitch Sings without broadcasting, the game does make it easy to send your songs out into the world. Y'know, if you think you've got what it takes to find internet fame.

'Jack Sparrow' sees Lonely Island joined by Michael Bolton, the legendary crooner who can still belt it out. The song is great, but it's well worth watching the video, too:

And the other song 'I'm On A Boat' is perhaps the band's most famous song. At least, that's me judging based on how much I've heard it sung at stag dos over the years.

Though, their best work, in my opinion is 'Finest Girl':

Hopefully, this is a sign that Twitch Sings is going to be getting a lot more songs in the future.
