‘Yoshi’s Crafted World’ Tops The Charts, Outselling Second Place By Just 63 Copies
This week's charts are in and it's a win for Nintendo. Yoshi's Crafted World has debuted at number one, pushing out The Division 2 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for the top slot.
Maybe it says something about our times that what gamers most want is a delightfully colourful platformer where you play a giant hungry lizard, over a gruff agent living through the downfall of humanity. Or maybe it's because the charts don't account for digital sales. We'll never know.
According to Videogamer, it was a photo finish, with Yoshi selling just 63 copies more than The Division 2. If Ubisoft had just gone after that Mother's Day market it might have been able to push it over into first. And, after all, nothing says Mother's Day like coming together with loved ones to try and stave off the collapse of society.
The other debut from last week, Assassin's Creed III Remastered came in at number nine. The rest of the charts are games that have been clinging on for a while. Check them out for yourself below:
