The £999 you'll have to shell out in the UK in order to get your hands on one may already seem a bit steep, but when you consider that this new handset has been found to be the most fragile iPhone in the ten-year history of the smartphone's production, the beefy price becomes even more of a pisstake.

SquareTrade, a company that provides extended warranties on consumer electronics, put the new handset through a series of durability tests and found out that it's completely and utterly shit.
Granted, if you make something out of glass, it's probably not going to react too well to being dropped on a concrete floor at high velocity by a robot, or being bashed around inside a weird transparent tumble dryer-type thing, is it?
But, at the same time, if someone had told me 15 years ago that in the future a phone would cost almost a grand, I'd have expected it to be bombproof.
SquareTrade tested the phone using a load of weird looking robots, and found that it shatters easily after a simple drop to the floor.
The company also found that repairs could cost you over half the price of a brand new handset. Ouch.
The testers said: "On its first drop, SquareTrade saw the iPhone X shatter, its screen become unresponsive, and its widely touted facial recognition feature fail completely."
"You'd expect there to be a high price to pay for a beautiful phone like the iPhone X. Unfortunately for consumers, in the end it's likely to be more than the $1,000 they've already invested," said Jason Siciliano, vice president global creative director at SquareTrade.
"Despite Apple's claims that their glass is the most durable ever in a smartphone, the iPhone X is the most breakable iPhone we've ever tested. The iPhone X's fragility, along with Apple's $549 fee for most repairs, make it the definition a high-risk phone."
You might be thinking at this point that there can't possibly be anything else wrong with the hotly anticipated new tenth-anniversary iPhone handset, but you'd be mistaken.
A bug affecting the new handset left some users unable to type the letter "I" on their keypads.
Just think about that for a moment and bear in mind what the phone is called.
Anytime users attempted to write the letter "I" their iPhones (or should we say A?Phones) would autocorrect it to an "A" and a question mark.
Far from ideal and certainly not what you'd expect after dropping nearly two months' rent on a phone.
Thankfully, the bug was easily fixed and new A?Phone users were able to move on with their lives.
In order to do so, simply navigate to the settings app, clicking general, navigating to keyboard and selecting text replacement. Click the little "+" button to add a new text replacement: type an upper-case "I" in the phrase box, and a lower-case "i" in the Shortcut one.
Apple is working on a fix for the issue, but until then, this will sort it out.
