Us millennials are always bitching and whining about how skint we are - it's a hard life, cry me a river, etc. And top of the list of gripes is how we'll be lucky if we're in our early 60s before we can afford a mortgage.

Right now, you probably have two options. Either move back into your parents' for a few decades to save up, OR you can go for the wildcard: a flat-pack house that costs a mere £25K ($33K).

The M.A.Di Home is factory produced in Italy, and is then transported by truck before being assembled on site. It can be made anywhere; no need for concrete foundations and all that jazz.

Better still, it takes three people just six hours to build, and can be delivered within 60 days after the final drawings are agreed on. That appeals to that other millennial trait of ours that we can barely wait for a web page to load, let alone an actual building to be made.

The small - but definitely doable - 290 square foot (27 square metre) home costs £24,800 ($32,800), or if you're in the money you can upgrade to a 904 square foot (84 square metre) building with a two-stage staircase for £54,900 ($72,700).

All basic models include a fitted bathroom, kitchen connections and technical installations, with a sleek and modern open-plan style.

Realistically, it's only got to house your hundreds of pairs of trainers, cheap IKEA furniture and the George Foreman grill your mum gave you that's never been used, so it's the perfect shell. As long as it stays standing when the wind gets up.

The home is earthquake resilient and also has an eco-friendly element, with the capacity to become entirely off-grid through solar panels, LED lighting and rain water systems. That's potentially another way to save on the pennies in the long run, too, which is no bad thing.

And if you're worried about settling down too quickly? Easy. Simply pack it up and move it to a new location. It can be easily collapsed and remade elsewhere, meaning you can still be that seat of the pants legend who you know and love.

With affordable homes in such short supply, this one might just be the solution... if you don't mind packing in all the space, endless roast dinners and free dirty washing services at your parents' house, it is.
