Elon Musk Is Selling Flamethrowers For $500

You can pre-order yours now, because, why not?

So, it looks like Elon Musk is selling flamethrowers to the general public and, yeah, let's all buy one.

The tech-giant and, let's face it, coolest billionaire, is apparently flogging the impressive looking weapons via his new venture The Boring Company. You can pre-order the 'World's safest flamethrower' for $500 (£353) here.

Posting a photo of the fun-looking weapon on Instagram, he wrote: "Say hello to my little friend..."

He also posted a clip of himself laughing and messing about with the flamethrower, captioning it: "Don't do this. Also, I want to be clear that a flamethrower is a super terrible idea. Definitely don't buy one. Unless you like fun."

If you click through to the pre-order page you'll see a lovely snap of the aforementioned flamethrower with a bunch conditions, such as 'additional customs fees may apply for international orders because of laws', but don't worry because 'international customers can receive a full refund if not happy with said fees'. You can't say fairer than that.

To go alongside your new flamethrower, Musk is selling an 'overpriced' fire extinguisher - good idea - for $30 (£21), the item has the description: "Buy an overpriced Boring Company fire extinguisher! You can definitely buy one for less elsewhere, but this one comes with a cool sticker and the button is conveniently riiight above."

On a second post, he wrote that the flamethrowers are great for roasting nuts, however, other people think he may have an ulterior motive - with some claiming that his next stop will be to begin a zombie apocalypse scenario, meaning people will rush to buy the flamethrowers. I guess it makes sense, sort of.

He's even been forced to take to Twitter to confirm that he isn't planning a zombie apocalypse to boost sales of his flame throwers, which is exactly what someone who was planning a zombie apocalypse to boost sales of their flame throwers would say, don't you think?

You know what, I knew it was only a matter of time before the real-life Tony Stark went evil and now it looks like the time is here. Let's just all get one to be on the safe side.
