Martin Trenaman plays Alan Cooper in the cult TV show The Inbetweeners - the quintessential embarrassing dad. When Alan's not showing some serious PDA with his wife Pamela, he's chatting openly about his sexual exploits before he got married, often with his mortified son Simon.
No one wants to hear how their dad engaged in bedroom antics with some woman 20 years ago. But if he's not your dad, then you might be able to glean some decent advice from him about what to do in certain scenarios. That's why Martin has teamed up with us for LADstation, in partnership with Right Guard, which host Jack explains is: "A show a little bit like Babestation, although we're more about perspiration than titillation."
Essentially, people have called our hotline with their problems and trusty Martin will try to help them out.
Watch the first episode below:
Commonplace though they may be, some of those situations are pretty tough. Martin tackles the problem of how to be a funny best man at a brother's wedding: think of something daft, thank the bridesmaids, keep it short and get drunk to make the nerves disappear.
The pair also broach the topics of how to tell a four-year-old the birds and the bees, what to do if your mum keeps pressuring you to get a girlfriend, and how to tell your grandad that him liking your girlfriend's pictures on Facebook is weird. Tricky situations, but fortunately they're handled with appropriate levels of wit wisdom and insight.
