Strict rules visitors must follow at one of the world's largest nudist beaches

Strict rules visitors must follow at one of the world's largest nudist beaches

Spain is home to one of the largest nudist beaches in the world

Most of us absolutely love a beach holiday.

An ice-cold bevvy, paired with a good book and a view of the ocean - I mean what's not to love?

However, a normal beach just isn't going to cut it for those who truly value their 'freedom'.

While some tourists enjoy the feeling of getting sand between their toes, others prefer to get it between their cheeks.

Located in the UK's favourite travel destination (Spain) is one of the world's largest nudist beaches.

The Vera-Playa Naturist zone - located on the Almeria coast - is the Vera Playa Club Hotel's naked beach hotspot for tourists who want to swim, surf and sunbathe in the nude.

Although the hotel claims to be 'a refuge for those who embrace the freedom to be in their natural state', there are some rules that you need to follow at the beach and pool areas.

The website states that 'guests must be nude in the pool area at all hours', but most locations around the hotel require you to put your clothes back on at 8pm.

Presumably, for health and safety too, you cannot dine at the restaurants in the nude.

I can imagine that eating a hotdog would be quite the challenge.

But for some supermarkets and shops in the area, they seem to let people walk in naked, just in case you would like to purchase a sausage and bun.

Now, the strictest rule is no phones and no pictures.

It's one thing being naked on a beach in Spain, but it's another thing when your bare bottom is being shared across social media instead of OnlyFans.

So, if you want to visit, but would like to keep your clothes on, the south section of the beach is for you, while the north is for the naturists.

"Vera-Playa, the renowned naturist paradise located along the southern coast of Spain, is not only a refuge for those who embrace the freedom to be in their natural state, but it is also a welcoming destination for the LGBTQ+ community," the resort said.

"Everyone can relax, socialise and enjoy the beauty of the beach without fear of being judged or discriminated against.

"Vera-Playa has been known for a long time for its progressive and open-minded atmosphere, where people are encouraged to be themselves."

Joining thousands of positive reviews on Google, one person wrote: "Great place to get naked and soak up the sun. Loads of things to do. Amazing beach."

"I very much enjoyed the experience, you feel free quiet and lots of peace around, it seems like you are in another world, safe and calm. I highly recommended this place to anyone," a second added.

"Great beach, always clean with plenty of showers and toilet facilities available. Some good chiringuitos on the beach too," a third said.

Meanwhile others warned that 'it gets windy during winter months' and you should watch where you sit as the sand can be 'gravelly with stones'.
