We all love a good spa day - and apparently tortoises do too. This rescue tortoise in the US gets more spa days in a week than the average person gets in a year - and his face is adorable.

Tilly G is a rescue tortoise who landed in heaven the day he came to Helen, who gives him a spa day twice a week.

So what does a tortoise spa day entail, you ask?

Tilly G is gently woken up in the morning by Helen, who then puts out his favourite snacks on the lawn, which he eats next to his dog buddies.

He's then treated to some detoxifying, fresh lemon water. But he doesn't actually drink the water, he likes his kale to be dipped in it before he eats it. Fun fact - tortoises get their water from their food and sitting in it, so owners of these friendly reptiles have to soak their veggies with water to make sure they stay hydrated.

After breakfast, Tilly G is pampered with a warm bath in the sunshine in a specially adapted paddling pool he can walk in and out of, complete with hibiscus flowers and cucumber - two of Tilly G's favourite snacks of course. Helen then gently polishes his shell with a soft brush.

Helen said it's really important to get the temperature of the water just right; cold-blooded animals like tortoises like warmth, but obviously you don't want the water to burn them. So, like you would with a baby, she tests the water with a thermometer before Tilly G gets in.

What you might not also have realised about tortoises is that their shells are sensitive and they can feel every touch, scratch and tickle on their shells, explains Helen in the video. She said that's why she makes sure she uses a soft brush when polishing her reptile companion's shell - and he is absolutely lapping it up.

Tilly G eats cucumber while he's gently massaged and cleaned, before then making a b-line for the mud after his bath. But, whatever makes him happy, says Helen.

Tilly G can be a lazy thing and (like most of us) it can take him a while to get out of bed in the morning.

I think we can all agree it would be much easier to get up if we had a twice-weekly spa day to look forward to? Tilly G is officially the most pampered tortoise we know.
