An old TikTok trend known as the 'Grace Kelly challenge' has seen a revival after Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell took a stab at it.
Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell have been filming the Christmas musical movie, Spirited, together recently, and they've spent their downtime messing about on TikTok.
The hashtag #gracekelly has been viewed nearly 132 million times at the time of writing this. It's always been popular, but had dipped a little bit just before the two actors made it trend again.
Here's what it is and how to do it.
TikTok Grace Kelly challenge: what is it?
The challenge is inspired by Mika's hit 2007 song 'Grace Kelly,' which in turn, references the 1950s actress, Grace Kelly.
Mika actually wrote the song in frustration at record label bosses who wanted him to change his image and sound to 'fit in' with the common pop mould. In the song, Mika points out that he can pretend to be anybody to win approval, even Grace Kelly, but he wants to be an individual.
The challenge involves TikTok users singing the chorus, which goes:
"I could be brown/I could be blue/I could be violet sky/ I could be hurtful/I could be purple/I could be anything you like."
TikTok users have to record themselves singing it in different pitches and overlap them to make a harmony. Users start with the lowest pitch, then record themselves another four times, each time using a higher pitch and attempting the famous high notes Mika sang.

"Late to the Grace Kelly trend but way early for our movie musical. I [love] duets.(And Mika)," he captioned the video.
The video, which includes a surprise appearance (or interference) from Will, has had more than 6.7 million likes and 74,000 comments.
Users laugh as Will interrupts Ryan (who does a great job of the harmonising), and instead of the five stages of pitches, Ryan's videos has the first three stages, followed by "4. Will Ferell??... 5. Will Ferrell!!... 6. Acceptance." The two then break out into song together and smash the Grace Kelly challenge.
If this is a sign of things to come in their new Christmas musical, then we can't wait to see it.
