Absolute Scamp Of A Fox Steals Phone And Runs Away 'Laughing'

If you're in need of a little cheering up this Monday, then look no further. A fox in the US has entertained herself - and hundreds of thousands of people across the world - by pinching a phone and doing a runner. Watch the video below:

Thankfully, the phone was recording at the time of the sneaky theft, granting us all a fox's mouth view of the daring robbery.

Footage shared by Saveafox Rescue in Lakeville, Minnesota, shows a woman positioning the phone on the ground before the fox, named Dixiedo, starts sniffing around it.

As the woman backs off, she says: "Don't you do anything to my phone."

Dixiedo then proceeds to directly contravene this request, scooping the phone up in her mouth and bolting. She then scuttles away with the device, which she intermittently puts down and attempts to bury as the phone-owner gives chase.

The added benefit of this is that the phone is picked up at different angles each time, meaning we as viewers get to glimpse a close-up of Dixiedo's face with the woman in pursuit, as well as a silhouette of the phone being carried away.

To make all of this even more enjoyable still, Dixiedo sounds like she's doing a cheeky little chuckle the whole time. Truly, a robbery has never been so charming.

The woman is eventually able to reclaim her device, at which point Dixiedo does her best to be adorable while the victim of this endearing theft makes a half-hearted attempt to tell her off.

She says: "You tried to bury it, you... That was pretty funny. That was pretty funny, I'll give you that."

Amen to that.

The video has now been viewed more than half a million times, with many people now backing Dixiedo to have a glittering career in film.

As one viewer brilliantly put it: "I am truly impressed by the range of angles Dixie employed in filming her heist. Many have already commented on the spectacular 'shadow' footage, but I'd also like to note the brilliance of the grass-focused 'ground speed' segment, and the extreme closeup of 'floof, eye, and ear'.

"Managing to capture the human in hot pursuit, and that unusual foxeye view of trees, was amazing in a one-take debut film. And of course spectacular audio throughout. I look forward to seeing Dixie's future projects."

Who knows, perhaps Dixie will move into adult film. You know, 'cause she's foxy.
